A large-scale enforcement operation has disrupted the PirloTV sports piracy network. Authorities seized 44 domains linked to the illegal streaming platform. The affected websites attracted nearly one billion visits every year.
The operation involved international anti-piracy groups, sports rights holders, and Mexican authorities. Together, they targeted one of Latin America’s largest illegal sports streaming networks.
PirloTV Built Its Audience by Aggregating Illegal Streams
Unlike many piracy sites, PirloTV does not host video streams. Instead, it collects and embeds links to unauthorized broadcasts from licensed providers.
The platform mainly focuses on football matches. It has gained a large following by offering free access to premium sporting events. Whenever authorities remove domains, the operators quickly launch new ones. That strategy has helped the network survive repeated enforcement actions.
Authorities Seize 44 PirloTV Domains
The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), UEFA, UC3, and Mexican authorities carried out the operation.
ACE said the seized domains generated more than 950 million visits each year. Around 230 million visits came from Mexico alone. The platform also attracted large audiences in Colombia. In addition, it received significant traffic from Spain and the United States.
Authorities completed the action shortly before the UEFA Champions League final. As a result, many users lost access to illegal sports streams during one of football’s biggest events.
World Cup Viewers Could Be Affected
The takedown may also affect fans following the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Spanish media reports that many users rely on PirloTV to watch matches on mobile devices. Legal streaming can be difficult because broadcasting rights are divided between multiple providers.
Despite the seizures, the operators appear to remain active. Several related domains are still indexed by search engines. Some continue to provide unauthorized sports streams.
Those sites offer access to channels such as ESPN, Fox Sports, TNT Sports, DSports, and TyC Sports.
UEFA Continues Its Anti-Piracy Efforts
UEFA became the first sports rights holder to join ACE in October 2025.
Since then, both organizations have worked to identify piracy operators and map their infrastructure. They have also partnered with law enforcement agencies to dismantle illegal streaming services.
The latest operation also marks ACE’s first joint action with Mexico’s Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI). The organizations recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen anti-piracy cooperation.
PirloTV Is Likely to Return
The seizure of 44 domains represents a major setback for the PirloTV network. However, the operators have repeatedly shown they can recover by registering new domains.
That makes continued cooperation between rights holders, investigators, and law enforcement essential. Without ongoing action, large piracy networks can quickly rebuild their infrastructure.
