Anthropic has once again extended free access to Claude Fable 5 for eligible paid subscribers. The company has pushed the deadline to July 19, 2026, giving users another week before they need to purchase usage credits to continue using the model.
The extension applies to several paid Claude plans and also keeps higher usage limits in place for Claude Code.
Anthropic Extends the Promotion Again
Anthropic originally announced that Fable 5 would be included with Pro, Max, Team, and eligible Enterprise subscriptions only until July 7.
The company later moved that deadline to July 12. Now, it has confirmed that the promotion will continue until 11:59:59 PM PT on July 19, 2026.
According to Anthropic, the temporary 50% increase to Claude Code’s weekly usage limits has also been extended through the same date.
Paid Subscribers Continue to Receive Free Access
Eligible users can continue using Claude Fable 5 without additional charges until they reach 50% of their weekly subscription allowance.
There is no activation process or separate enrollment required. Usage is automatically deducted from the same weekly pool that applies to other Claude models.
However, Anthropic notes that Fable 5 consumes the weekly allowance more quickly than its other AI models.
Which Plans Are Eligible?
The extended offer is available for:
- Claude Pro
- Claude Max
- Claude Team
- Eligible seats on seat-based Enterprise plans where enabled by the organization
Once users reach the weekly Fable 5 allocation, they can either purchase usage credits to continue using the model or switch to another Claude model that still has available capacity under their subscription.
Fable 5 Is Available Across Claude Services
Subscribers can access Claude Fable 5 across a wide range of Anthropic products, including the web version of Claude, mobile and desktop apps, Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Claude Design, Claude for Microsoft 365, Claude for Teams, and Claude Tag.
Users of the web, desktop, and mobile apps can choose Fable 5 directly from the model selector.
Claude Code requires version 2.1.170 or later, while Claude Cowork requires the latest version of the Claude Desktop application.
